Nikki Castle graduated from the University of Auckland with a Masters in Screen Production in 2010, and has since been field producing, directing and story producing film and television content. This was after a long-standing career as a documentary editor, including numerous award-winning television series and films such as The Green Chain (Best Documentary at the NZ Film & TV Awards).
Her acclaimed short documentary film Madness Made Me was developed as part of the Loading Docs initiative and screened at the New Zealand International Film Festival and the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival. It was distributed widely across online media, including a write-up in Huffington Post.
Nikki splits her time between Auckland and Melbourne, where she directs commercials, documentaries, and music videos. She has an interest in social issues and human behaviour, particularly when it comes to highlighting the oft-neglected female perspective.
